If you don’t like something change it; if you can’t change it, change the way you think about it.
I did not get a chance to draft a new Daily for today. Yesterday was pretty busy with the only open hours used for napping. This morning I have two meetings with the first scheduled for six AM. I then have some errands to run so I will again send you a Daily from out of the past.

As you know I spend a lot of time with people who are ready to invest in a happier life. Sometimes it is a process of deciding what they really want, surprisingly many of us never stopped long enough to figure out what would make us happy. In my case I know it is not a million dollars as I would rather have a warm smile each day. Many of us don’t decide what we want and then go for it, we just wait hoping it will come to us. That works sometimes but I think it only happens when we are ready for it and deserve it. Life is often not easy, something’s are easy and something’s seem difficult. I believe however that the difficult can be made easy and those who practice doing so will find the rewards worth it. Here is a list that I got from someone that outlines many of the options we have.
Easy is to get a place in someone’s address book. Difficult is to get a place in someone’s heart.
Easy is to judge the mistakes of others. Difficult is to recognize our own mistakes.
Easy is to hurt someone who loves us. Difficult is to heal the wound…
Easy is to forgive others. Difficult is to ask for forgiveness.
Easy is to dream every night. Difficult is to fight for a dream…
Easy is to show victory. Difficult is to assume defeat with dignity…
Easy is to admire a full moon. Difficult to see the other side…
Easy is to promise something to someone. Difficult is to fulfill that promise…
Easy is to say we love. Difficult is to show it every day…
Easy is to criticize others. Difficult is to improve oneself…
Easy is to make mistakes. Difficult is to learn from them…
Easy is to think about improving. Difficult is to stop thinking it and put it into action…
Easy is to think bad of others. Difficult is to give them the benefit of the doubt…
Easy is to receive. Difficult is to give.
Easy is keeping the friendship with words. Difficult is to keeping it with meanings.
If opportunity doesn’t knock, build a door…
Pat is not feeling very well and he decides to go to a doctor. While he is waiting in the doctor’s reception room, a nun comes out of the doctor’s office. She looks very ashen, drawn and haggard.
Pat goes into the doctor’s office and says to the doctor: “I just saw a nun leaving who looked absolutely terrible. I have never seen a woman look worse.”
The doctor says: “I just told her that she is pregnant.”
Pat exclaims: “Oh my, is she?”
The doctor responds: “No, but it sure cured her hiccups.”
Life is what happens while you’re standing still.
SIGNS YOU’RE A LOUSY COOK
* Your family automatically heads for the table every time they hear a fire siren.
* Your kids know what “peas porridge in a pot nine days old” tastes like.
* Your son goes outside to make mud pies, the rest of the family grabs forks and follows him.
* Your kids’ favorite drink is Alka-Seltzer.
* Your kids got even with the neighborhood bully by inviting him over for dinner.
* Your husband refers to the smoke detector as the oven timer.
* No matter what you do to it, the gravy still turns bright purple.
* You burned the house down trying to make jelly.
Share your wisdom, not your prejudices.
She said: Our family owned restaurant is the setting for many of our discussions about how to handle the customer who asks, “What’s good tonight”?
Obviously, we would never serve anything we didn’t think was good. I braced myself one Saturday night when I heard the dreaded question posed to my husband.
He calmly replied, “Anything over $13.95.”
Happiness is a choice that requires effort at times.
A lawyer read the will of a rich man to the deceased’s family: “To my loving wife Rose, who stood by me in rough times, as well as good, I leave the house and $2 million.”
The lawyer continued, “To my daughter Jessica, who looked after me in sickness and kept the business going, I leave the yacht, the business and $1million.”
The lawyer concluded, “And, to my cousin Dan, who hated me, argued with me, and thought that I would never mention him in my will – well you are wrong. Hi Dan!”
Be you. Nobody else can be.
Little Johnny’s 2nd grade teacher was quizzing them on the alphabet. “Johnny,” she says, “what comes after ‘O’?”
Johnny says, “Yeah!”
You can’t set sail for new seas if you’re afraid to lose sight of the shore.
“Sally, do you know your numbers?” the teacher asks.
“Yup,” she says. “My dad taught me.”
“What comes after three?”
“Four,” Sally answers.
“Great. And tell me what number comes after six?”
“Excellent,” Sally’s teacher says. “Your dad did a good job. Now, what’s after ten?”
Always laugh when you can. It is cheap medicine.
“George is so forgetful,” the sales manager complained to his secretary. “It’s a wonder he can sell and I’m not sure he’ll even remember to come back.” Just then the door flew open and in bounced George.
“You’ll never guess what happened!” he shouted. “While I was at lunch, I met Old Man Brown, who hasn’t bought anything from us for five years. Well, we got to talking and he gave me this half-million dollar order!”
“See,” sighed the sales manager to his secretary. “I told you he’d forget the sandwiches.”
There is only one success: to be able to spend your life in your own way.
